"Ready to learn": how school meals are bringing 13,000 children back to class in Zimbabwe

In northern Zimbabwe, our local partners are providing daily meals of nutritious porridge to more than 13,000 students, to help them learn and play. 

"Before the programme, we knew many of our students were struggling to concentrate, and some weren't coming at all because there was no food," the headmaster of one school shared. "Now, we are seeing children return to school who had previously stayed home due to hunger. They are not just present; they are engaged and ready to learn." 

Because the best way to start building a better world is with a full belly.
