Radha has five daughters. When her husband fell ill and could no longer support the family, she had no choice but to leave home. She travelled to Lebanon and worked as a domestic worker, long hours, little pay. When her own health deteriorated, she came back to Bangladesh.

CAFOD’s local partners helped Radha with counselling, medical treatment, and business training. That training gave her the confidence to get a cow. Now, the milk her cow provides feeds her family and brings in income she can depend on.

Today, Radha lives with one of her daughters, her health is stable, and she feels “confident enough” to face the future.
