Chirpy chickens (for schools)
“We now have hope in this poultry keeping. It will change the educational futures of our children by paying for their school fees.” – Kerra, Kenya
These chickens grow quickly, and lay eggs by the dozen - great for breakfast, and for building a better world.
In northern Kenya, our partners are providing communities with a special breed of hens. They are hardy, able to live off little more than local plants, and need very little water.
Kerra received some of these champion chickens, and now uses their eggs to make omelettes for her children.
“It’s their favourite food,” she says. “They love the eggs and I can see that it is good for their bodies.”
She also plans to sell the extra eggs to pay for her children to go to school, so her gift of chickens will help her family, mind, body and soul.
